Hi, I’m Kenzie!

I’m a mom to two sweet boys, a wife, and someone who has always seen the world through a lens. I was the girl who borrowed my mom’s camera every weekend, staging photoshoots with my sisters and rarely going anywhere without one in hand. At one point, I even entered my amateur work into my high school art show. Photography followed me into college and beyond, where I continued photographing everyone and everything around me- the ordinary pieces of life and the memories I didn’t want to forget. Long before photography became a business, it was how I held onto moments and expressed myself.

It wasn’t until I married my love and became a mom that I realized just how much I enjoy preserving every little moment. Kindred & Kin was created out of my love for connection- the bonds between families and kindred spirits, and all of the quiet little moments that tell their story.

My approach is relaxed and natural, focusing less on perfection and more on presence. I’m especially drawn to the in-between moments. I love the laughter that sneaks in between poses and the natural connection that is right there without my direction. I love that I can go into a new session with the same prompts and create something beautiful and brand new because every connection is so unique! That is why connection is the absolute heart of my photography. At the end of the day, my goal is to create images that feel genuine, timeless, and true to you.
